₱10,000 ANGAT grant empowers 9th batch of Balay Silangan beneficiaries

KORONADAL, South Cotabato — A renewed sense of hope and opportunity marked the successful distribution of the ₱10,000 ANGAT (Alalay sa Negosyo Ginhawa at Trabaho) Livelihood Grant to the 9th Batch of beneficiaries from Balay Silangan, held from February 16 to 19, 2026.

Sonia Bautista, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, said the initiative forms part of the beneficiaries’ reintegration program, designed to help them transition smoothly back into their communities with sustainable sources of income.

“There are 11 beneficiaries who received ₱10,000 each in start-up capital to either establish or expand small-scale livelihood ventures,” Bautista said.

The financial assistance aims to provide former program participants with a concrete opportunity to rebuild their lives through productive and lawful means of earning, she explained.

The ANGAT Livelihood Grant underscores the government’s continuing commitment to inclusive recovery and community-based rehabilitation.

“By equipping beneficiaries with practical resources and entrepreneurial support, the program promotes self-sufficiency, restores dignity, and encourages long-term economic stability,” Bautista shared.

More than just financial aid, the grant symbolizes a fresh beginning—transforming past challenges into stepping stones toward personal growth and responsible citizenship.

Through initiatives such as this, the government reinforces its dedication to empowering individuals with the tools they need to achieve lasting change and contribute meaningfully to society.

As the 9th Batch of Balay Silangan beneficiaries embarks on their renewed journey, the ANGAT Livelihood Grant stands as a testament to the power of second chances and the promise of a brighter, more secure future.
