Koronadal City, South Cotabato — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has released ₱3.89 million in financial assistance under the Alalay sa Negosyo, Ginhawa at Trabaho (ANGAT) Program this 2025, benefiting 39 entrepreneurs and two cooperatives to help sustain and expand their businesses across the province.
There are 33 business groups under ANGAT Category 1. They received ₱80,000 to ₱100,000 each while six individual entrepreneurs obtained ₱10,000 each.
Meanwhile, two cooperatives under ANGAT Category 2 were granted ₱300,000 loans each as additional business capital.
According to Earl Rey Madres, Community Affairs Officer III and ANGAT Program In-Charge, the initiative aims to empower local entrepreneurs by providing financial aid to help them recover, grow, and sustain their businesses.
“We have seen how the program greatly helped improve their livelihood, especially since their family income increased, allowing them to buy basic needs such as food and support their children’s education,” Madres said, monitoring every groups constantly to guide them in their endeavor.
(During our monitoring, nakita gid namon nga dako gid ang nabulig sa ila nga pagpangabuhi especially nga nadugangan man ang income sang ia nga family kag mabakal na nila ang ila basic needs parehas sang pagkaon kag pag pa-eskwela sang ila mga kabataan.)
The ANGAT Program, spearheaded by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., is a flagship initiative that promotes livelihood development and economic recovery by assisting residents with existing small businesses.
The program seeks to strengthen local enterprises, generate more employment opportunities, and uplift the quality of life of every family in South Cotabato.
