TAMPAKAN, SOUTH COTABATO – A total of 400 residents of Sitio Campo Singko in Barangay Danlag, Tampakan, recently benefited from a comprehensive community outreach program designed to bring essential government services closer to grassroots communities.

The initiative gathered various government agencies and partner institutions in a united effort to deliver vital services directly to residents, especially those living in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
Sonia Bautista, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, said conducting outreach within the community, organizers ensured that families who often face challenges in accessing public services could receive immediate assistance without the burden of travel or additional expenses.
“Among the services provided were free medical and dental checkups, minor surgical procedures such as circumcision, distribution of food packs and essential medicines, and mass feeding activities for children,” she said.
The program also featured recreational games with prizes to promote community involvement and fellowship.
Additionally, veterinary services were offered to household pets and livestock, supporting both animal welfare and the livelihoods of local farmers.
Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. emphasized that the outreach program demonstrates the provincial government’s strong commitment to inclusive, people- centered governance.
“We want every family, especially those in remote communities, to feel the presence, care, and support of the government. Through initiatives like this, we make sure that no one is left behind and that essential services reach even the most isolated areas,” the governor said.
His goal is to bring government services closer to the people.
He also highlighted that collaboration among agencies, local officials, and private partners is vital to the success of such programs.
By pooling resources and expertise, the government can respond more effectively to community needs and promote sustainable development at the grassroots level.
The year’s first outreach program highlighted the power of unity and shared responsibility in Barangay Danlag, marking a historic first for the community.
More than just providing services, the initiative strengthened the bond between the government and the people—reinforcing trust, compassion, and a shared vision of advancement for every family in the community.
