KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — A total of 108 scholars have been officially named qualifiers for the Kabugwason-Paglaum Scholarship and Grant-in-Aid Programs (KPSGIAP) for Academic Year 2026–2027, reinforcing the Provincial Government of South Cotabato’s commitment to expanding access to advanced education and developing highly skilled professionals who can contribute to the province’s continued growth.
Atty. Rhonalyn C. Gallego, KPSGIAP CAO/OIC Executive Director, emphasized that the release of the official list marks an important milestone for the successful applicants as they move forward with the scholarship process.
“The Kabugwason-Paglaum Scholarship and Grant-in-Aid Program continues to open opportunities for deserving South Cotabateños to pursue higher education and further develop their knowledge and professional competencies,” Gallego said.
The official list includes 31 qualifiers for the postgraduate degree program in Law, 30 in Medicine, and 47 in other postgraduate degree programs.
The program provides educational assistance to qualified individuals pursuing postgraduate studies in various professional fields, supporting the province’s continuing investment in human capital and professional development.
Gallego expressed her full support for the program, emphasizing the importance of providing opportunities for professionals to pursue higher education.
“Education is an investment in our people. By supporting our scholars in their postgraduate studies, we are also investing in the future of our province and its communities,” she stressed.
As part of the next phase of the program, all qualified scholars are expected to attend the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Orientation and Signing scheduled on September 5, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at the South Cotabato Cultural Center and Gymnasium, Alunan Avenue, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
Gallego urged all qualifiers to attend the activity and take note of the important information to be provided during the orientation.
“We strongly encourage all scholars to be present during the MOA Orientation and Signing because important program guidelines, responsibilities, requirements, and other matters will be discussed,” she emphasized.
The Provincial Government, especially Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., congratulates all 108 qualifiers and looks forward to supporting them as they pursue their respective postgraduate programs and prepare to contribute their expertise and service to the people of South Cotabato.
