KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — Eleven barangays in South Cotabato have been recognized for their performance in the 2026 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA), honoring their efforts in promoting peaceful and effective dispute resolution at the grassroots level during South Cotabato Provincial Liga day and Awarding Ceremony at South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center last August 19, 2026.
Barangay Morales of the City of Koronadal got the highest rank among the barangays in the component city category while barangays Tinago in Norala (Rank 1), Teresita in Sto. Nino (rank 2), and San Felipe in Tantangan (Rank 3) in the 2nd Class Municipality Category.
Meanwhile, during the Provincial Liga Day, Barangay of Poblacion, Tupi topped the 1st Class Municipality Category. Coming in the list are barangays of Población, Polomolok (rank 2), and Poblacion of Tampakan (rank 3).
Barangays Little Baguio in Suralah and Tasiman of Lake Sebu tied in rank 4. Barangays Reyes of Banga and Baray Kematu of Tboli is rank five and six respectively.
According to Chrysanthea D. Zorilla LGOO VI/Program Manager of Department to Local and Interior Government – South Cotabato, “More than an awards program, LTIA encourages every Lupon to continuously improve the delivery of fair, accessible, and effective dispute resolution at the grassroots.”
The LTIA recognizes the dedication of Lupong Tagapamayapa members who help settle community disputes through dialogue, mediation, and peaceful agreement. Their work contributes to maintaining peace and harmony, promoting access to justice, and strengthening good governance in communities across South Cotabato.
