KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — A total of 149 qualified scholars under Batch 22 of the Kabugwason-Paglaum Scholarship and Grant-in-Aid Program (KPSGIAP) College Degree Program will formally become beneficiaries of the provincial government’s scholarship initiative through the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing on September 5.
According to KPSGIAP OIC Executive Director Rhonalyn C. Gallego, the activity marks an important milestone for the scholars as they begin their journey under the KPSGIAP.
“The 149 scholars of Batch 22 have successfully hurdled the pre-screening and background assessment, and this achievement reflects their determination to pursue their education despite challenges,” Gallego said.
The MOA Orientation and Signing is scheduled at 8 a.m. at the South Cotabato Cultural Center and Gymnasium along Alunan Avenue, City of Koronadal, where the qualified scholars are expected to attend.
She emphasized that the scholarship is not only intended to provide financial assistance but also to encourage young South Cotabateños to remain committed to their studies and future aspirations.
“We hope that our scholars will recognize this opportunity as an investment in their future. We encourage them to study hard, fulfill their responsibilities, and make the most of the assistance provided by the province,” she added.
The MOA orientation will also familiarize the scholars with the program’s policies, requirements, responsibilities, and other important details they need to know as beneficiaries.
Gallego further reminded the scholars to actively monitor official announcements and maintain open communication with the KPSGIAP management.
“We ask our scholars to keep their communication lines open and to comply with the requirements and guidelines of the program. Their cooperation is important in ensuring that the scholarship assistance reaches its intended beneficiaries,” Gallego urged.
The provincial government congratulated the 149 qualifiers for successfully completing the selection process and encouraged them to uphold their commitment to education.
Through KPSGIAP, South Cotabato continues to invest in education by helping qualified students overcome financial challenges and pursue college degrees.
For the 149 scholars of Batch 22, the upcoming MOA signing represents more than a formal agreement—it is a commitment to education, personal growth, and a future where their knowledge and skills can contribute to their families and communities.
