South Cotabato, Philippines – As the term of the 14th Sangguniang Panlalawigan of South Cotabato ends, the body presented its accomplishments for its term for 2022-2025 during the recently concluded ‘Ulat ng Lehislatura 2025’.
Spearheaded by Vice Governor Arthur Y. Pingoy Jr., the august body presented its accomplishment reports, including 150 regular and special sessions from July 2022 to March 2025.
In addition, the 14th Sangguniang Panlalawigan also enacted a total of 1,787 resolutions and ordinances, which include 350 City/Municipal General Ordinances, 220 Appropriation Ordinances, 833 City/Municipal Executive Orders, and 384 City/Municipal Resolutions.
The august body further presents 392 enacted resolutions and ordinances for the province of South Cotabato, which includes 372 Provincial General Ordinances and Resolutions, and 20 Appropriation Ordinances.
Key highlights of the august body include the Paperless system, wherein the sanggunian aims to lessen paper waste in drafting resolutions and ordinances.
With the current Sangguniang’s mission in upholding legislative excellence in the province, the Department of Interior and Local Government recognized the outstanding legislative performance of the 14th Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Vice Governor Arthur Y. Pingoy Jr. expressed his gratitude to the members of the 14th Sangguniang Panlalawigan for their hard work and cooperation in making the 14th Sangguniang Panlalawigan – a ‘working sanggunian’.
Furthermore, Vice Governor Pingoy Jr. highlighted the body’s relationship and collaboration with Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.
The 14th Sangguniang Panlalawigan of South Cotabato is nearing the end of its term, as the 2025 local and national elections will be on May 12, 2025.
