235 South Cotabatenos benefit from “Hatid Tulong” initiative

CITY OF KORONADAL — Some 235 residents of South Cotabato benefitted from the “Hatid Tulong” Program, an initiative of the Office of the President that helps relocate families from Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon Island who wished to go back to their respective city, municipality or province in SOCCSKSARGEN Region.

Based from the record of the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Promotions and Development Unit, 54 manifested plus 45 walk-in residents of the province were transported back through land transportation to the region via Isulan, the capital town of Sultan Kudarat province last July 7 and 8.

Aside from the 99 residents, other residents from the region were also accommodated of which 22 came from Cotabato City; 98 from General Santos City; Sultan Kudarat – 34; North Cotabato – 46; Maguindanao – 27; and, Sarangani – 76.

Likewise on July 28, 136 manifested residents of the province arrived at the South Cotabato Sports Complex here together with other passengers from other places of the region.

ACTM is currently awaiting a message from DILG Cebtral Office, Metro Manila, coordinator of the program, for the third batch of repatriation after the 2 successful activities.
