KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — A total of 2,363 Auxiliary Police Responder Provincial Disaster (RST) personnel across eight Local Government Units (LGUs) in South Cotabato are receiving their second-quarter honorarium from August 18 to 25, 2026.
Each RST responder will receive an honorarium of P500, amounting to almost P1,180,000 for the second quarter.
Dennis C. Dignadice, Barangay Affairs Chief, said the honorarium is provided to support the RST responders for their services and responsibilities in their respective communities.
“This support recognizes the important role of our responders in helping ensure the safety of our communities. Their readiness to serve, especially during emergencies and disasters, contributes greatly to our collective efforts in protecting our people,” Dignadice said.
The beneficiaries include 145 responders from the City of Koronadal, 295 from Polomolok, 334 from Lake Sebu, 505 from Banga, 540 from Norala, 45 from Surallah, 110 from T’boli, and 389 from Sto. Niño.
He noted that the RST personnel play an important role in complementing the efforts of local government units in disaster preparedness and response, particularly at the barangay level.
“Our RST responders are important partners in ensuring that our communities are prepared. Their presence at the grassroots level allows us to respond more quickly and effectively when disasters or other emergencies occur,” he emphasized.
The distribution, scheduled for August 18 to 25, covers the second-quarter honorarium of the responders from the identified municipalities and city.
Dignadice also encouraged the beneficiaries to remain committed to their responsibilities and continue supporting community-based disaster preparedness initiatives.
“We encourage everyone to continue serving with dedication and discipline. Beyond the financial assistance, your willingness to serve is a valuable contribution to the safety and resilience of our communities,” he stressed.
The honorarium reflects the provincial government’s recognition of the vital role of community responders in strengthening disaster risk reduction and management efforts across South Cotabato.
