35 patients receive free transport service in January

KORONADAL CITY – In response to the ongoing needs of patients in South Cotabato, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office provided free services through Patient Transport Vehicles (PTV) to 35 patients in January.

According to Officer in Charge Rolly Doane C. Aquino, RN, MPA, MNSA of the said office, the patients availing of the service came from various private and public facilities in the province. Among the destinations for these patients were the Southern Philippine Medical Center in Davao City and Cotabato Medical Center.

Aquino stated that aside from transporting patients to hospitals, the service also aims to bring patients to their homes free of charge.

Aquino also emphasized that providing free PTV service across the province is part of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr.’s mandate to provide quality health care services.
