The Sand and Gravel and Mining (SGM) tax collection of the province continue to increase for the past four (4) months of 2016, this was the report of the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO).
PEMO disclosed that from January to May this year, its SGM tax collection totaled P7,759,692.78, with the latest addition of P1,557,551.10 for the month of May.
Provincial imposition on SGM tax includes Sand and Gravel Tax, Mining Tax, Mining Permit Fee, Ore Transport Fee, Occupational Mining Tax, Verification Fee, Filing Fee, Permit Fee, Projection Fee, Processing Fee, Fines/Penalties/Surcharges and Miscellaneous (Delivery Receipts).
The average monthly collection for the four-month collection is now P1,551,938.56, which is higher compared to the monthly average collection of P1,197,682.71 last year.
Likewise, with the total collection of more than P7.7 million, the province’s share now amounted to P3,279,440.26.
