local government units (LGUs) in South Cotabato benefited from the Cultural Mapping ProgramCMP) spearheaded by the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit for the year 2023.
Tantangan recently underwent CMP training particularly on Social Preparation which is Phase II of the CMP after it underwent Scopung last January and February this year. Thirteen (13) Barangays joined the 2-day Social Preparation Orientation
anwhile, Polomok is now on Phase VI or Validation/Reporting of Draft Profile. After which, it will progressed to Final Validation and eventually to Book Writing/Printing of Profile of Cultural Icons.
Towns that have already submitted published book of their respective Inventory of Profile on Cultural Icons were Tampakan (February 2021), Surallah (March 2021), Lake Sebu ( February 2021), while T’boli and Tupi are ready for printing.

According to Tourism Operations Officer II Indira Cagaanan, ACTM Arts & Culture Coordinator, the province’s CMP started in 2019
Cagaanan said that after completion of CMP among the province’s 11 LGUs, ACTM will conduct cultural ,mapping for South Cotabato.
