The Site Development Plans of the “School in he Forest” project located at Sitio Glandang and Datal Ngisi in Kablon, Tupi and part of the Bio-Diversity project of Provincial Environment Management Office – Forest and Inland water Division (PEMO-FIWD) , was presented recently in a meeting attended by stakeholders.
Carol Miguel Silvederio, an Architectural Designer from Koronadal City but based in Davao City, presented her designs for the 2 locations which include buildings, camping area, arboretum, view deck, nursery, rest rooms, parking area, trails, among others, for proper cliniquing of the attendees composed of representatives from PEMO, DENR-PASU, PEO and MENROs of Polomolok and Tupi towns.
“I incorporated green architecture as a concept in my designs since this is a Bio-Diversity project located near Mt. Matutum,” Silvederio explained.
Sitio Glandang and Datal Ngisi site development plans have a land area of 40 and 60 hectares, respectively. An elementary school, day care center and IP community are located in said areas.
PEMO-FIWD chief Forester Mary Jane Manlisis disclosed that the objective of project is to engage the school and the community in the conservation and preservation of the bio-diversity of the area, and that they have generally approved the concept of the design but suggested for the revision of some, particularly removal of hard infrastructures in the design.
“We suggested to the designer to incorporate the IP community in Datal Ngisi in the site development plan. We expect the final design to be presented before the end of February,” Forester Manlisis pointed out.
The site development plan has a budget of P100,000.00.
