Assistive devices bring hope through CATCH-UP operation in Purok Sto. Rosario, Lapuz, Norala

South Cotabato, Philippines — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato continues to strengthen inclusive and accessible public service as the South Cotabato CATCH-UP Operation successfully reached Purok Sto. Rosario, Barangay Lapuz, Norala — delivering not only government programs but also renewed hope to residents through the distribution of assistive devices and essential services.

Among the beneficiaries was Maria Arceli Gegone, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude after receiving her own assistive device during the activity.

“Salamat kay Governor Tamayo, pinaagi sa iya may ara nako sang personal ko nga assistive device or tungkod. Salamat sa Programa ni Gov kag sang Gobyerno Probinsyal sang South Cotabato. Amo gid ni ang ginapangarap ko,” she shared.

The activity highlighted the Provincial Government’s continuing commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable sectors, especially persons needing mobility support and other forms of assistance. Through the provision of assistive devices such as canes and mobility aids, beneficiaries are given greater independence, mobility, and confidence in their daily lives.

Despite the intense heat, the spirit of unity and service remained unwavering as partner agencies, barangay officials, healthcare workers, volunteers, and provincial offices converged to bring essential government services directly to the community.

The CATCH-UP Operation served as a one-stop community outreach initiative that provided health services, social welfare assistance, agricultural interventions, veterinary services, and other community-based programs designed to respond to the immediate needs of residents.

More importantly, the activity emphasized that true public service goes beyond infrastructure and programs — it is about reaching people personally, especially those who often struggle to access basic support and assistance.

Through the “One Goal, One Service: Convergence in Action” initiative, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato continues to demonstrate that genuine change happens when government services are brought closer to the grassroots.

As communities like Purok Sto. Rosario experiences these meaningful interventions firsthand, the provincial government reaffirms its commitment to delivering “Tama kag Maayo nga Serbisyo” for every South Cotabateño.
