KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — To ensure the continuous and effective delivery of government assistance to rural communities, the Barangay Affairs Unit (BAU) conducted a monitoring visitation in Barangay Lamsalome, T’boli, on Tuesday, May 19.
Barangay Affairs Chief Dennis Dignadice, alongside the province’s community organizers, spearheaded the activity to personally check on the status and situation of Reinforced Services Taskforce (RST) beneficiaries. The visit also serves to fortify the provincial government’s commitment to bringing essential public services closer to the people.
“The visitation aimed to ensure that RST members and beneficiaries, especially families in need of assistance in health, education, and livelihood, continue to receive government support and services,” Dignadice said.
During the visit, beneficiaries were informed about the different programs and services of the provincial government while they were also given the opportunity to raise their concerns and needs.
Additionally, the officials assessed the situation of the residents, validated beneficiaries, and coordinated barangay leaders to continue identify the pressing needs.
One of the beneficiaries, Rowina Ongcang, expressed gratitude for the continued presence of the government in their community.
“Gapasalamat gid kami kay Governor sa sini nga RST nga programa kay nabatyagan gid namon ang iya nga bulig sa amon biskan ara kami sa malayo nga lugar sang South Cotabato,” Ongcang stated.
Jan Edzel Isales, Program Assistant, emphasized that the BAU team remains committed to reaching remote areas in the province to make public services more accessible to residents.
“We will continue to visit the sitios, puroks, and barangays in the province so we can personally assess the situation of residents and to ensure that no family is left behind in receiving the government services,” Isales said.
Moreover, BAU highlighted the importance of the regular conduct of RST field visitation to strengthen coordination and to ensure inclusive service delivery.
RST is one of the programs of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato headed by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., that aims to bring government services closer to communities, particularly those located in far-flung and hard-to-reach areas.
