Polomolok, South Cotabato – Residents of Barangay Bentung in Polomolok said they felt the sincerity and genuine concern of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato as the CATCH-UP Serbisyo Caravan brought essential services directly to their community.

For many in Barangay Bentung, the two-day caravan was more than just an outreach—it was a clear sign that the government’s promise of Tama kag Maayo nga Serbisyo is reaching even the farthest communities.

Hon. Bernie Palencia, the mayor of Polomolok extended his thanks to the Provincial Government of South Cotabato in making the Serbisyo Caravan made it to Brgy. Bentung though he is not physically present but his representative gave the message in behalf of him

Barangay Bentung is, identified as a priority area under the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC). It became the center of government attention as the caravan rolled in with health services, legal assistance, livelihood support, and vital documentation services.

According to Project Development Officer Cris Pingkunn Fuentes, about 1,100 residents benefited from the caravan.

“The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) recorded the highest number of clients served, followed closely by medical services. Overall, we have seen a strong turnout, and the residents were very appreciative,” Fuentes shared.

More than numbers and statistics, the caravan left behind a deeper impression among the people: that their government is listening, and that their needs matter.

Preparations for the activity were made as early as July to ensure smooth delivery of services that truly addressed community needs,” Fuentes added.

The next leg of the caravan is scheduled this October in either Banga or T’boli.

The Serbisyo Caravan remains a key strategy of the provincial government to bring development interventions closer to communities and to strengthen peace and order in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
