Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRI)

Is mandated to promote agricultural development and growth through increased productivity, provide policy framework, extend support services necessary to make agriculture and agri-based profitable enterprise and help spread the benefits of development to the farmers in South Cotabato.

Vision:

The forerunner in sustainable and socio- economically progressive agriculture.

Mission:

Ensure food sufficiency employing healthy climate-smart technologies promoting agri-industry and tourism.

Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO)

Was created last 2003 and is mandated to provide measures to ensure the delivery of basic services and provision of adequate facilities relative to environment and natural resources services. In addition to the Administrative Support Services are the three Technical Divisions: the Forest and Inland-Water Division, Environmental management Division and Mines and Geo- Sciences Management Division.

Provincial Budget Office (PBO)

Is mandated to prepare the following:

Annual and supplemental budgets of the province study and evaluate budgetary implication of proposed legislation.
Assist the SP in reviewing the approved budget of the 10 municipalities and 1 city in the province.
Assist in the formulation of the development plan of the province.
The office is composed of administrative support services and the Budget preparation and technical review and the budget execution sections.

A prudent, resilient and responsive budget administration.

Mission:

Provide participatory, transparent and responsive budget administration with efficient workforce ope-rationalizing the development plans of the province.

Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO)

Is mandated to plan, administer and implement programs on infrastructure development, public works and other engineering services of the provincial government. It has four divisions that are directly involved in engineering operations with the following specific functions: Planning, Designing and Programming Division – conducts survey and planning for proposed engineering projects. Construction and Maintenance Division – implements, monitors and inspects projects relative to repair and maintenance of provincial roads, bridges and other infrastructure projects. It also conducts inventory of provincial roads and bridges for the re-establishment of road-right-of ways. Quality Control Division – ensures that engineering works are done in accordance to standards and specifications. Equipment Pool Division – It is responsible for the repair and maintenance of engineering equipment to be deployed to various projects implemented by the office.

Prime Builder of functioning and well- maintained road networks and other resilient infrastructures and facilities.

Mission:

Develop disaster resilient infrastructure promoting quality design, project implementation and maintenance.

Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO)

Is mandated to formulated and implement policies, plans, programs and projects to promote the health of the people of South Cotabato. The office was devolved to the provincial government in 1993, The Provincial Health Officer II manages and oversees, in addition to his function, the operation of the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital, the Norala District Hospital, the Polomolok and the Lake Sebu Municipal Hospital.

Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP)

Is the legislative body of the Province of South Cotabato. As a legislative body, it is mandated among others, to approve ordinances and pass resolution for efficient and effective provincial government for effective delivery of basic services, to generate and maximize the use of resources and revenues for the development of the province. The Provincial Vice-Governor heads the office. There are 13 Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members. These sections under the office include: Library Section, Records Section, Ordinance and Resolution Section and the Journal and Minutes Section.

A better quality of life for the people of South Cotabato through a more responsive and meaning legislation.

Mission:

Promote the general welfare of the people of South Cotabato through quality legislation reflective of the legislative agenda and genuine people’s participation.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO)

Are among the national government agencies devolved to the Provincial Government of South Cotabato in 1993. Its main function is to provide basic social services and welfare assistance to the constituents of the province specially those under difficult circumstances or crisis situations. Under the supervision of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer are the Social Protection and Crisis Intervention Division, Community Services Division, Sectoral Concerns Section, Nutrition Section and Special Concerns Section.

Vision:

Improved quality of life of the disadvantaged individuals, families and communities of South Cotabato where minimum basic needs are met in partnership with other agnecies.

Mission:

Promote the general well being of the disadvantage individuals, families and communities of South Cotabato through an effective and efficient delivery of basic social services for the attainment of an improved and sustainable quality of life.
