SURALLAH, SOUTH COTABATO — A new bridge is currently under construction along the Talahik–Upper Talahik Crossing Modon Road in Surallah, South Cotabato, as part of the inclusive and sustainable development.
The project, with a total cost of Php 29,988,832.08, is ongoing and aims to provide safer, faster, and more reliable access for residents, particularly farmers and workers who rely on the road network for their daily transportation and livelihood.
Meanwhile, residents have already expressed their gratitude for the project, recognizing its long-term benefits.
“This bridge means everything to us,” said a 47-year-old farmer from Upper Talahik.
“During heavy rains, we used to struggle just to get our produce to the market. Now, with this new bridge, we can look forward to safer travel and better income for our families,” he said.
Once completed, the bridge is expected to enhance mobility and stimulate economic activity by connecting key agricultural and residential areas in the municipality.
The initiative is one of many infrastructure projects being implemented under the administration of Governor Reynaldo Sucayan Tamayo Jr., whose leadership is guided by the principles of “Tama kag Maayos” (Right and Proper) governance.
