The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, through the CATCH-UP Convergence Unit, is calling on residents to donate pre-loved clothes, toys, books, and other items to support families in remote communities across the province.
The CATCH-UP Team, composed of various provincial offices and partner agencies, brings essential programs and services closer to people in remote barangays.
As part of its sustained efforts, the Convergence Unit is appealing to South Cotabateños to donate their pre-loved clothes, bags, toys, and books.
These “small gifts with big impact” are expected to bring comfort, joy, and hope to families in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas who often struggle with limited access to basic needs.
Cris Pingkunn Fuentes, Project Development Officer, emphasized the value of every donation, saying that items “used but not abused” can significantly uplift the lives of others.
“The simplest act of giving can inspire a chain of kindness and unity across the province,” Fuentes said.
The initiative underscores the power of collective action, combining government services and community generosity to create lasting change.
“The program strengthens the culture of bayanihan, reinforcing the belief that progress is possible when everyone contributes to the welfare of others,” Fuentes said.
With every donation and every convergence activity, South Cotabato reaffirms its commitment to building a province where no family feels forgotten and where compassion is at the heart of governance.
