he CATCH-UP Team, composed of various provincial offices and partner agencies, brought government programs and services directly to residents in this remote community.
Among the assistance extended were medical consultations and free medicines from the Provincial Hospital, fruit-bearing seedlings and vegetable seeds from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, and antibiotics and vitamins for livestock from the Provincial Veterinary Office. The Provincial Population Office also held sessions on Responsible Parenthood and the Anti-Child Marriage Law.
In addition, students learned about scholarship opportunities under the Kabugwason Paglaum Scholarship and Grant-in-Aid Program, while the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator conducted site assessments for future projects. The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office distributed disaster preparedness materials, and the Provincial Information Office documented the activity.
The CATCH-UP Team also facilitated the distribution of goods, hygiene kits, and used clothes for families in Sitio Bangkaing.
Project Development Officer Cris Pingkunn Fuentes described the activity as deeply rewarding:
“Fulfilling, especially kay very thankful gid ang community sa presence sang aton mga government workers nga halin sa iban-iban nga office. Nakita gid nila nga maskin gamay lang sila nga sitio, gina-focusan gyapon sila sang public services kay inclusive ang province sa iya nga serbisyo,” he said.
Governor Tamayo emphasized that the initiative is part of his vision of delivering “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo” to far-flung areas, ensuring communities have direct access to healthcare, livelihood support, education, and essential services.
Through the collaboration of agencies and the active participation of residents, the operation marked another milestone in strengthening government-community partnership and promoting inclusive development in South Cotabato.
