DA-12 grants Php7.2 million worth of farm equipment to SouthCot

The provincial government of South Cotabato through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist formally received from DA-12  various farm machinery worth Php7.2 million during the Monday Flag raising ceremony held today at the provincial Capitol covered court.

Said machinery was given in support of the Establishment, Operation, Maintenance, and Management of South Cotabato’s Farm Machinery Service Center.

Out of the said amount, Php4.1 million was allocated under the rice program which includes 1 unit tractor worth Php3.5 million; 1 unit rice planter, worth Php367,500; 1 unit shallow tube well, worth Php105,000; and 1 hand tractor, worth  Php136,500.

Under the High-Value Crops Development Program the following items were also turned over to the province:

1.Unit pole pruner and 30 plastic crates for OMAG Sto. Nino

2.1 pole pruner, mini chainsaw, and 40 plastic crates for OMAG Norala

3.1 pole pruner for OMAG Banga

4.1 set garden tools – BLGU. Maltana, Tampakan

5.1 mini chainsaw for OMAG Lake Sebu

6.1 pole pruner and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipes  for OMAG Tampakan

The turnover ceremony was led by DA-12 Field Operations Division Chief Zaldy Boloron, Vice Governor Vicente De Jesus, Board Member Noel Escobillo, Board Member Antonio Fungan, Provincial Administrator Atty. Renette B. Bergado, and other provincial officials.
