ECCD Building Turned Over at Polotana Child Development Center in Polomolok

POLOMOLOK, SOUTH COTABATO- Another early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Building was officially turned over in Barangay Cannery, Polomolok, recently.

The newly constructed was held at the Polotana Child Development Center marked the formal hand-over and start of operation for the facility, which aims to provide quality early childhood education and care services for young learners.

During the ceremony, Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. reaffirmed the Provincial Government of South Cotabato’s strong commitment to ensuring ECCD facilities are available in all areas, especially at the grassroots level.

He highlighted that investing in early childhood education is key to building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and comprehensive child development.

“We remain dedicated to making early childhood care and development services accessible to all communities, particularly in the barangays. Education should start with a solid foundation, and it is our duty to ensure every child has a safe and nurturing environment to learn and grow,” Governor Tamayo stated.

The new ECCD building was designed to be a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly environment, reflecting the local government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen early education and social services for future generations.

Governor Tamayo also emphasized that the provincial government should continue building school structures and educational facilities to help fill gaps in support for free education across the province.

He pointed out that improving school infrastructure is a vital step to guarantee every child, regardless of where they come from, has equal access to quality, free education.

The facility is expected to greatly improve access to early childhood learning, especially for families in the community.

The ceremony also showcased the strong partnership between the provincial and local governments, along with various stakeholders and community members, in successfully implementing the project.

This collaboration highlights shared responsibility and accountability in promoting children’s welfare and development.
