KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — Residents of Purok Santa Cruz in Barangay Paraiso, City of Koronadal, have expressed their gratitude to the provincial government under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. following the establishment of a nearly ₱4-million water system project that now provides them with accessible and potable water.
The project was implemented in response to the community’s request, as residents had long experienced difficulty accessing clean water due to the distance of their previous source.
With the completion of the water system, residents are now benefiting from a reliable and convenient water supply, significantly improving their daily living conditions.
Beneficiaries highlighted the positive impact of the project, particularly the ease it has brought to their daily routines, as well as improvements in sanitation and health within the community.
Resident Jessie Dilao conveyed appreciation on behalf of fellow community members, noting the administration’s responsiveness to their needs.
“We are very thankful because Governor Tamayo truly listened to our concerns. Before, we had a hard time getting water since our source was far away. Now, clean water is already accessible to us,” Dilao said.
Governor Tamayo reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to delivering essential services and prioritizing grassroots concerns.
“The Provincial Government remains committed to ensuring that basic services, such as access to clean and safe water, are delivered to our communities. Projects like this reflect our continued efforts to respond to the needs of our constituents and improve their quality of life,” Tamayo said.
The successful implementation of the water system project highlights the administration’s ongoing initiatives to uplift unserved and underserved communities by addressing fundamental needs and promoting sustainable development at the local level.
Since the start of Governor Tamayo’s administration in 2019, the Provincial Government has been establishing potable water systems in far-flung areas across the province, especially in communities with limited access to clean water.
The construction of potable water system projects is just one of the flagship programs of Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. under the banner of the “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo” brand of public service.
