KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — The South Cotabato Provincial Hospital (SCPH) continues to reinforce its pro-people healthcare services by providing free blood transfusion, easing the burden on patients and their families.
Amy Santillan, Donor Recruitment Officer of the SCPH Provincial Blood Bank, assured the public that blood services at the SCPH Blood Bank are given at no cost, as part of the provincial government’s strong commitment to accessible healthcare.
“Libre ang blood transfusion sa SCPH,” Santillan emphasized, noting that the program is supported through PhilHealth, allowing patients to receive life-saving blood without worrying about expenses.
Beyond free services, the program also encourages community participation through donor incentives.
Santillan explained that individuals who donate blood are given added assurance that their immediate family members will also receive free blood supply when needed.
“Kung mag-donate ka, ang immediate family mo assured na libre rin ang dugo kung kakailanganin nila,” she said.
This initiative not only helped sustain the blood supply but also builds a culture of volunteerism and shared responsibility among South Cotabateños.
Santillan encouraged more residents to take part in blood donation drives, highlighting that every donation is a way of giving back and saving lives.
“Ini-encourage namin ang lahat na makiisa. Sa simpleng pagdo-donate, nakakatulong ka na sa kapwa,” she added.
With free blood transfusion services and strong community support, the provincial government’s flagship health program continues to make quality healthcare more inclusive, proving that in South Cotabato, saving lives comes without a price.
