South Cotabato, Philippines — As the first-ever contestant from South Cotabato to compete in the prestigious Binibining Pilipinas 2025 pageant, Mutya ng South Cotabato 2019 Glycelle A. Navares is poised to elevate the province to a national level.
Glycelle shared a statement sharing her feelings as she set out on this historic journey. As a representative of South Cotabato in one of the nation’s most prominent pageants, she expressed her excitement, honor, and pride. “It would be my perseverance,” Glycelle said boldly when asked what she thinks makes her stand out from the competition.
Glycelle is not only a beauty queen but also an advocate of enhanced healthcare. With hands-on experience in both community and hospital settings, she brings not just beauty and grace to the stage, but also a sincere goal.
“Syempre hindi naman natin maiiwasan that there are really gaps in the health care here in our country. So, I want to help by doing medical missions and I have started here in our province already and hopefully, we could expand it more sa nationally,” she stated.
Her own work in healthcare has inspired her, and she hopes to grow medical missions not only in South Cotabato but also in other parts of the Philippines.
The South Cotabato Provincial Government recognizes Glycelle for her advocacy work, perseverance, and dedication and has shown its unwavering support for her. As she enters the national arena, local governments, organizations, and fellow South Cotabateños have shown their excitement and support.
