KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO — Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the poor and working class, centering provincial governance on a comprehensive framework known as the “Five Fundamentals rights of the poor.”
The governor stressed that inclusive governance must transcend political affiliations and social status, ensuring equal access to opportunities for every South Cotabateño.
“It does not matter who you supported or where you stand in life. Every citizen deserves the services of the government,” Tamayo stated.
To uplift the living conditions of local families, the Provincial Government has prioritized food security as its first central pillar.
By strengthening agricultural programs and supplemental feeding, the province ensures that every household has access to nutritious and affordable food while supporting local farmers.
Alongside this, the administration has intensified skills training and livelihood assistance to generate stable income and sustainable jobs through active partnerships with local industries.
Education also remains a cornerstone of the provincial development agenda. The government has expanded its free education initiatives, including scholarships and the distribution of school supplies, specifically to ease the burden on low and middle-income families.
Furthermore, the province is addressing the need for secure shelter by implementing socialized housing programs, providing dignified and safe living conditions for families in informal or vulnerable settlements.
Finally, access to quality healthcare completes the five priority pillars. The administration has enhanced hospital facilities and actively worked to eliminate medical costs for indigent patients, ensuring that financial constraints never hinder life-saving treatment.
“Our goal is simple: to make sure every family can live with dignity and security,” the Governor added.
By focusing on these essential needs, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato continues to set a benchmark for grassroots-based development, ensuring that no resident is left behind in the province’s journey toward progress.
