Koronadal City—Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. adopted the use of the Department of Science and Technology’s Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage or S-Pass to facilitate local travel, Science Research Specialist/Planning Officer Giselle Eve Siladan confirmed in an interview recently.
With S-Pass, it is easier for South Cotabato to monitor incoming travelers, Siladan said.
“It contributes in ease of doing business–better, simpler regulations for travel transactions,” she pointed out.
Siladan mentioned that Gov. Tamayo recognized the additional workload and necessary budget to continuously run the program.
“Nagpapasalamat kami kay Gov. Tamayo na hinanapan niya ito ng paraan para mas mapadali ang pagbibigay ng serbisyo,” Siladan stressed out.
In region 12, all provinces acknowledged the importance of S-Pass in making travel easier and convenient because of the newly developed mobile application.
S-Pass replaces the use of pen-and-paper logbooks for travelers.
