Gov. Tamayo calls for unity and prudent spending amid rising fuel and commodity

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. has called for unity and cooperation among Filipinos as global tensions continue to drive up fuel prices and the cost of basic commodities.

In a recent statement, Tamayo acknowledged the growing burden on Filipino families, noting that many are struggling to cope with the steady rise in daily expenses.

The governor cited ongoing tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel as a major factor behind the surge in fuel and oil prices, which has led to increases in the cost of goods and services.

In response, Tamayo urged the public to remain united and support government initiatives aimed at cushioning the impact of the crisis. He also emphasized the importance of financial discipline, encouraging households to practice prudent spending and cut unnecessary expenses during this challenging period.

The governor reiterated that collective action and shared responsibility are key to overcoming the current difficulties, expressing confidence that Filipinos can endure these challenges through unity and cooperation.
