KORONADAL CITY — South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. expressed his gratitude to Paul Tamayo, his brother, for donating a one-hectare parcel of land to the Philippine Army, describing the gesture as a meaningful contribution to advancing peace, security, and community development.
Governor Tamayo emphasized the importance of cooperation among stakeholders in building a stronger, safer, and more progressive province, noting that shared efforts help create an environment in which development initiatives can be sustained.
“Isa na namang patunay na kapag may pagkakaisa at malasakit, mas nagiging matatag ang ating lalawigan,” the governor said.
The donation was formalized by signing a Deed of Donation for a property located in the Municipality of Tupi.
The land will serve as part of the headquarters of the 6th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army, enhancing its capacity to support peace and order efforts in the area.
The governor emphasized that contributions such as this play a vital role in strengthening the foundation for long-term development by helping ensure a secure and stable environment.
“Maraming salamat, Paul, at mabuhay ang ating mga kasundaluhan!” he added.
He also reiterated continued support for initiatives that promote collaboration among government, private individuals, and the armed forces in advancing public safety and inclusive community development.
