Gov. Tamayo fulfills promise as provincial family health navigators finally receive honorarium

KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO | FEBRUARY 21, 2026— True to his word, Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. approved the release of the long-awaited July 2025 honorarium for Provincial Family Health Navigators, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to sustaining grassroots healthcare services across the province.

Barangay Affairs Chief Dennis Dignadice reported that representatives from 15 of Koronadal’s 27 barangays completed the required documentation and qualified for the initial release.

“A total of 807 navigators received their honorarium, amounting to ₱403,500. Verification of accomplishment reports from the remaining barangays is ongoing to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive their due support,” Dignadice said.

On the same day, the releasing team proceeded to Tantangan, where 315 navigators from 12 barangays received a total of ₱157,500 in honoraria.

The province-wide release continues as scheduled, covering T’boli and Santo Niño on February 20; Lake Sebu and Surallah on February 21; and Norala and Banga on February 22. Additional payouts in Tampakan, Tupi, and Polomolok are set through February 25.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the fulfillment of the governor’s commitment. Mary Jane Jean Laugan, a Provincial Family Health Navigator from Barangay Assumption in Koronadal City and a mother of four, said the honorarium helps them more effectively monitor and respond to community health concerns.

“Indi matuod nga wala sang pulos ang health navigator; ang wala sang pulos nga health navigator amo ang wala naga-participate sa iya barangay,” Laugan emphasized.

By delivering on this promise, Governor Tamayo reaffirmed his administration’s recognition of the vital role played by Provincial Family Health Navigators and strengthened the province’s push for accessible, community-based healthcare services.
