South Cotabato, Philippines | November 08, 2025 – Three outstanding public servants took the spotlight during the recent State of the Children’s Address (SOCHA) of South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., where he honored individuals who have made a lasting impact in advancing child welfare and nutrition across the province.

Governor Tamayo proudly recognized Rudy S. Jimenea, the Provincial Nutrition Action Officer, who brought pride to South Cotabato after being named the National Outstanding PNAO for his leadership in sustaining effective nutrition programs.
Also honored was Angela B. Frugalidad, Community Affairs Officer IV, who earned the Best News Article Award as finalist and the title of National Outstanding District Nutrition Program Coordinator.
Completing the trio was Liza C. Enamno, likewise hailed as an Outstanding District Nutrition Program Coordinator for her dedication in implementing grassroots nutrition initiatives.
In his speech, Gov. Tamayo highlighted the strong collaboration of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office–Nutrition Division, emphasizing programs that continue to change lives.
Among these is “Batak: Buntis, Tamang Atensyon Kailangan,” which provided prenatal care to more than 300 high-risk mothers—92.33% of whom gave birth to healthy babies.
The SAGOP Bata program, meanwhile, improved the nutrition of over 500 preschoolers, achieving 100% improvement with 82% now at normal weight.
The RST sa Nutrition, launched in 2023, reached 306 undernourished children—83 of whom are now in normal health status—while 42-44 parents gained livelihood assistance.
The Pabasa sa Nutrition program also continues to educate parents on proper child nutrition.
Through these initiatives, South Cotabato has earned national acclaim, bagging the Green Banner Award (2021–2023), the CROWN Award (2024), and the Rising, Innovative Service, and Trend Awards (2025)—solidifying its reputation as a model province in the fight against malnutrition.
