KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO – The community-based approach to governance has proven to be an effective strategy for providing quality and responsive public services that meet the needs of the people, according to South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr.
Governor Tamayo emphasized that one of the most efficient ways to address his constituents’ concerns is to listen to their voices and understand which services the government should prioritize.
“We personally go to the communities to listen to their concerns and find solutions to the problems faced by our people at the grassroots level,” Governor Tamayo said.
He added that personally visiting communities allows him to gain a deeper understanding of the real issues experienced by the people.
“I believe we can truly see and understand the problems better when we are physically present in the community,” he noted.
Among the major issues addressed under this community-based governance strategy are free hospitalization, access to quality education, and support programs for farmers.
Governor Tamayo regularly visits over 200 barangays across the province to personally listen to residents’ concerns and make sure their needs are properly addressed.
The governor assured the public that all concerns raised by the people are carefully heard and acted upon, reaffirming his commitment to efficient, compassionate, and people-centered governance.
