KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — Residents are encouraged to visit the Kadiwa ng Pangulo located along Dahlia Street in front of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) Compound to avail themselves of affordable agricultural products such as vegetables and egg, including rice priced at only ₱20 per kilogram.
The program aims to connect consumers directly with local farmers and producers, providing access to fresh, high-quality, and budget-friendly goods while creating additional market opportunities for the agricultural sector.
Dr. Raul Teves, Provincial Agriculturist, said the 20 pesos per kilo of Rice is sold but, with guidelines that eligible beneficiaries may purchase up to 30 kilograms of rice per month at ₱20 per kilogram, while purchases are limited to 10 kilograms per day to ensure that more individuals can benefit from the program.
“Senior citizens and PWDs may designate authorized representatives through a duly signed authorization letter and submission of the required supporting documents,” Teves said.
Meanwhile, Rommel Eladia, chairman of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo Committee, emphasized responsible purchasing, noting that rice allocations are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and that cooperation among beneficiaries will help ensure that sufficient supply remains available for everyone.
