KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato – Around 400 to 500 South Cotabateños are expected to benefit from a medical mission to be conducted by the Kapamilya Karavan and ABS-CBN Foundation, in partnership with Sagip Kapamilya and Bantay Bata 163 Foundation, on July 18 at the South Cotabato Provincial Capitol Covered Court as part of the 60th Foundation Anniversary and 27th T’nalak Festival celebration.
The one-day outreach activity will provide free medical consultations, mental health consultations and psychosocial support services, benefiting primarily children and teenagers through the Bantay Bata 163 Foundation.
Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Freda Liza P. Gazo said the activity reflects the Provincial Government’s commitment to bringing accessible healthcare and meaningful services to the people while celebrating one of the province’s biggest annual festivals.
“This partnership with the ABS-CBN Foundation allows us to extend quality healthcare services to our constituents while making the T’nalak Festival more meaningful. We are grateful that our South Cotabateños, especially our children and youth, will benefit from this initiative,” Gazo said.
To ensure efficient delivery of healthcare services, 15 doctors from the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital, Norala District Hospital, and Polomolok Municipal Hospital, in coordination with the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), will provide free medical consultations to beneficiaries.
In addition to the medical mission, participants will also attend an orientation on disaster preparedness and emergency response to strengthen community awareness and resilience.
The outreach program will also feature appearances by several Kapamilya artists, including Jarren Garcia, Angelica Ken, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Jake Cuenca, Kolette Madelo, Esnyr, River Joseph, BGYO, the It’s Showtime Baby Dolls, and special guest host Negi, who will also perform during the festival celebration.
According to Gazo, the July 18 event marks the first time that Kapamilya Karavan has combined a medical mission and live festival performances in a single-day engagement.
“This is a unique collaboration because it is the first time the Kapamilya Karavan will simultaneously conduct a medical mission and bring festival entertainment in one event. It is an opportunity for our constituents to receive essential services while enjoying the celebration with their favorite Kapamilya artists,” she added.
The medical mission and entertainment caravan will also be documented by ABS-CBN for broadcast on TV Patrol and other regional news platforms nationwide, highlighting South Cotabato’s vibrant T’nalak Festival and the province’s continuing commitment to delivering responsive public service through strategic partnerships.
