Lake Lahit Water Park and Recreation, one of the newest attraction in the municipality of Lake Sebu dubbed the summer and eco-tourism capital of South Cotabato, will have a soft opening this coming summer month of March featuring recreational waster sports activities.
ake Lahit is one of the 3 lakes of Lake Sebu town (the main lake) and the other is Lake Seloton, where the famous Sunrise Garden is located.
Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Development and Promotions Unit chief Senior Tourism Operations Officer Argie Ryan Asaria disclosed that the soft opening serves as pilot testing of the services, flow of visitors and amenities, among others, of the tourist destination.
“The public is expected to experience these, particularly sports activities offered such as kayaking, water bike, traditional T’boli canoe called the owong,” Asaria revealed.
Other activities, Asaria added, include fishing, sight-seeing and trekking. The restaurant which will offer tilapia, their native delicacy, will be managed by residents from the community and will be capacitated jointly by the Department of Tourism (DOT))12, provincial government and Lake Sebu LGU.
Grand launching, according to Asaria, will be held sometime April this year.
