Lake Sebu, South Cotabato — Winners in the Search for Cleanest and Greenest Household and Best Maintained Areas were awarded cash incentives during the regular Monday Convocation Program held at the Municipal Gymnasium here last December 5.
Three evaluations were conducted by the team of evaluators as part of the contest mechanics that was held on September 14 -16, October 12 – 13 and November 17 – 18.
Top three winners on the third and final evaluations for the Search for Cleanest and Greenest Household were Reynaldo Tigas of Purok Rosas (first place), who received P10,000 cash incentive; Renji Cintina of Logpond, second place – P8,000 ; Minda Bernal of San Miguel, third place – P6,000.
Aside from cash incentive, the top three winners were given Certificate of Recognition each.
Tigas received a total cash incentive of P 14,500 as second place winner in the first evaluation with cash inactive of P1,500 and another P3,000 as second place winner in the second evaluation.
Likewise, Cintina got P14,000 total cash incentive as third place winner in the first evaluation with P1,000 cash incentive and P5,000 as first place in the second evaluation. Minda Bernal cash incentive totaled P7,200 with P500 and P700 received in the first and second evaluations, respectively.
The other winners were Rolly Rubillo of Sebu Udi (P5,000), Mary Fernandez of Tukofol (P2,200), Edna Lagrimas of San Miguel (P2,200), Nicanor Patricio, Vilma Duenas, Nedina Callusa, and Virgie Duenas of Logpond (P2,200 each), Lydia Tigas of Purok Rosas (P500), Esteban Arellano of Lamsufo (P500), Crisanto Belgera of Sebu Udi (P500), Reynaldo Bonfacio of T’benwo (P500), Sonia Lumbing of Isla Grande (P500).
For Best Maintained Areas, the winners were Corazon Sarigo of Ilang-ilang – first place (p8,000); Anthony Artacho of Tukofol – second place (P5,000); Carlito Magarso of Lamsufo – third place (P3,400).
The awarding ceremony was spearheaded by Provincial Environment Management Officer Siegfred Flaviano together with Forester Mary Jane Manlisis and Senior Environment Management Specialist Loida Villa of PEMO – Forest and Inland Water Division.
Vice-Mayor Floro Gandam, representing Mayor Antonio Fungan, together with other municipal officials, also joined the awarding.
The evaluators were Fruto Sumagaysay Jr. (PIO), Julius Mella (ACTS), Karla Dayaday (DENR-PASU-AVPL), Hayd-Ali Suwaib (DILG) and Jerson Ungkal (Lake Sebu Municipal Tourism Office).
