KORONADAL CITY – Local content creators and photographers recently took part in the three-day “The South Cotabato Experience,” an immersive tour highlighting the province’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and top tourist destinations as part of the promotional activities for the 27th T’nalak Festival and the 60th Foundation Anniversary of South Cotabato.
Hydee Templonuevo, Promotions and Publicity Chairperson, said the initiative brought together digital storytellers and photographers to experience firsthand the places, people, and traditions that make the province a unique cultural destination.
“Throughout the three-day journey, participants explored heritage sites, scenic attractions, and local communities while learning more about the province’s indigenous cultures and long-standing traditions,” she said.
The South Cotabato experienced is organized by the Office of the Provincial Information Officer.
The activity aimed to encourage creators to produce authentic content that promotes South Cotabato to wider audiences.
For content creator Tropang James, the experience served as a reminder that locals should appreciate their own home before introducing it to others.
“ Naga pasalamat ako sa Provincial Government sa opportunidad nga maka upod sa the South Cotabato Experience. Narealize ko nga bilang isa ka South Cotabateños dapat indi tayo maging dayuhan sa ating sariling bayan,” Tapado shared.
Among the participants was Ankol Noy, a police officer and content creator, who emphasized the importance of responsible content creation, particularly for public servants.
“Unlike other content creators, we cannot simply post anything. As a PNP content creator, discipline and responsibility are required. Our residents should not only know about our culture, traditions, and tourist destinations they should also see and feel the peace and order that our police continue to uphold throughout the province,” he said.
Meanwhile, content creator Boots of the duo Pinoy Palaboy expressed gratitude for the opportunity while sharing the values they hope to leave as their legacy to their audience.
” Isa sa gin istoryahan namon ni Partner indi kami mag sulod sa endorsement sang sugal. Isa ini sa legasiya namon sa amon nga mga followers, tuod nga dako ang kwarta sa endorsement sa sugal pero mas dako nga problema kong maka guba kita sang kabuhi tungod sa sugal. Salamat Provincial Government of South Cotabato sa pag-paexperiensya sang kultura nga may ara ang South Cotabato.,” Boots said.
The Provincial Government hopes that initiatives such as “The South Cotabato Experience” will inspire local creators to become ambassadors of the province by producing meaningful and responsible content that showcases South Cotabato’s culture, heritage, natural attractions, and community values.
