The assistance aims to support the construction of a Community Comfort Room in Sitio Datal Biao, Barangay Danlag, Tampakan โ a crucial infrastructure project identified through consultations with residents and stakeholders.
Sitio Datal Biao is among the remote upland communities that have long faced limited access to basic sanitation facilities. The provision of this comfort room is expected to significantly improve hygiene, health, and dignity among the areaโs residents, especially women, children, and indigenous peoples.
The turnover marks another milestone under the CATCh-UP program, which utilizes a convergence approach to deliver coordinated interventions by government agencies, security forces, and development partners. Through this unified strategy, stakeholders aim to uplift vulnerable communities by addressing both security concerns and social development needs.
Officials from the local government unit, PNP, and community representatives were present during the activity, which also underscored the role of the police not only in maintaining peace and order, but also in facilitating grassroots development projects.
