MORE THAN 40,000 YOUNG PROFESSIONALS EMERGE FROM SOUTH COTABATO’S EDUCATION INVESTMENT PROGRAM

KORONADAL CITY — More than 40,000 young professionals have successfully completed their education and entered various fields of work because of the sustained investment and commitment of the current administration toward educational development.

Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. highlighted the importance of education as one of the most effective tools in transforming the lives of individuals, families, and communities.

Naniniwala ako na malaki ang magiging ambag o pagbabago sa mga pamilya kung mag-iinvest tayo sa edukasyon dahil dyan naman nagsimula ang aming pamilya,” Tamayo said

The governor noted that the educational assistance initiative, which began sixteen years ago, has continued to expand and reach more beneficiaries each year. What started as a modest effort to support students has evolved into one of the province’s most impactful social development programs.

Over the years, thousands of students from different municipalities and communities have benefited from scholarship grants, educational assistance, and other support programs designed to help them complete their studies despite financial challenges.

At present, more than 20,000 students are enrolled under various educational support programs and are expected to graduate in the coming years.

Among the administration’s priorities is ensuring that Indigenous Peoples (IPs) have equal access to educational opportunities.

Through targeted assistance and inclusive educational programs, many IP students have been able to pursue higher education and overcome barriers that traditionally limited access to learning.

Governor Renaldo S. Tamayo Jr., believe that providing educational opportunities to IP communities promotes inclusivity and helps create a more equitable society where all sectors have the chance to succeed and contribute to development.

Education advocates have likewise welcomed the sustained support, noting that every graduate represents a family given a better chance at economic stability and a brighter future.

With more than 20,000 students currently pursuing their studies and thousands more expected to benefit in the coming years, the administration’s investment in education continues to pave the way for a more educated, empowered, and prosperous South Cotabato.
