Nat’l Tourism Month celebration slated on September

The National Tourism Month will be on September this year with the active support of the provincial government, Francisco Cerbo Jr., Tourism Operations Officer I of the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit disclosed during the recent regular monthly meeting of Municipal Tourism Officers (MTOs) held at Tboli Cultural Village, Barangay Lemsnolon in Tboli town.

Cerbo said that the Opening ceremony will be held on September 1 at Tupi, South Cotabato with Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

However, Cerbo stressed that the highlight of the celebration will be the Product Selling Activity that will be participated by the 11 LGus of the province from September 15 to 30 which will be held at the 4th Floor, Cinema Lobby of KCC Mall, Koronadal City.

“The One Town, One Product (OTOP) program will be the main concept of the Product Selling wherein participating LGUs are encouraged to showcase the ‘best of the best’ of their product or products,” Cerbo added.

Eleven (11) booths measuring 3 meters x 3 meters will be allotted for each participating LGU to display their products for sale to the general public during the 16-day activity, Cerbo further added.

Culmination activiy will held on September 30 at the same venue with Fashion Show as one of the highlights lined up by organizers.
