NDH undergoes routine PhilHealth assessment

The Norala District Hospital underwent a routine on-site assessment by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) on Friday, September 04, 2026, to determine its compliance with standards governing the delivery of healthcare services in accredited facilities.

The assessment examined the hospital’s patient care processes, documentation, facilities, and other requirements prescribed by PhilHealth as part of its monitoring of accredited healthcare providers.

Hospital Chief Dr. Mila Quinton said the evaluation is an important check on the hospital’s systems, particularly in determining whether established procedures are being properly implemented and documented.

“The assessment helps us validate our compliance and, at the same time, identify areas where we can further improve our processes and documentation,” Quinton said.

Hospital personnel from various units participated in the assessment and presented the documents and operational systems required for evaluation.

Rather than serving solely as a compliance check, Quinton said the activity also gives the hospital an opportunity to identify gaps that may affect the efficiency of its operations and, ultimately, the services received by patients.

“The hospital will use the assessment findings to reinforce compliant practices and address areas that may require corrective action or improvement,” Quinton added.

The routine assessment is part of PhilHealth’s continuing monitoring of accredited healthcare facilities to ensure that they meet prescribed standards in providing services to members and patients.
