New 4-storey Provincial Hospital for South Cotabato

Koronadal City—Officials of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato spearheaded a groundbreaking ceremony of the four-story Provincial Hospital, Thursday, indicating that the province is preparing for a level three accreditation from DOH.

Sen. JV Ejercito graced the event.

“Perception of dilapidated government hospitals has changed through the years, “Ejercito said.

Through the Health Facility Enhancement Program of DOH, which Ejercito lobbied at the Senate, government hospitals are ready to give patients quality care.

The P200M-worth provincial hospital will be home to an operating room complex and nursing services building.

After 90 days, contractors are expected to start the construction and they have 580 days to complete the facade.

Meanwhile, Gov. Daisy Avance-Fuentes asked Ejercito for an additional P100M for various health facilities in the new building.

“Dahil malaki ang tiwala ko sa inyo at nagpapasalamat ako sa tiwalang yan, hindi ko kayo bibiguin, tutulong akong maibigay sa inyo yan,” Ejercito said during the groundbreaking ceremony.

Ejercito, who has an Ilonggo mother, was the guest speaker of South Cotabato during the 2016 Tnalak Festival.
