NORALA, South Cotabato — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato is strengthening educational infrastructure in Norala through the ongoing construction of a two-classroom building with toilet facilities at San Miguel Elementary School.
With a project cost of ₱2,697,403.08, the facility is designed to provide learners with a safer, more functional, and conducive environment for learning while helping address the school’s need for additional classroom spaces.
Governor Tamayo emphasized that providing adequate learning facilities is an investment in the province’s future, noting that every classroom built creates a better environment where children can learn, develop their potential, and prepare for future opportunities.
“When we invest in our schools, we are investing directly in the future of our children and our communities. We want every learner to have a safe and conducive place to study because quality education must be supported by quality facilities,” Tamayo said.
The project includes two classrooms and toilet facilities, supporting the provincial government’s efforts to provide school infrastructure that addresses both the educational and basic welfare needs of learners.
Under the leadership of Governor Tamayo Jr., the provincial government continues to prioritize investments in education as part of its efforts to promote inclusive development and improve access to quality public services.
Meanwhile, public school teacher Irish Ameller welcomed the ongoing construction, saying the additional classroom spaces will help create a more conducive learning environment for both teachers and pupils.
“This project is a great help to our school community because having additional classrooms will give our learners a more comfortable and conducive space for learning. As teachers, we are grateful for initiatives that respond to the needs of our schools and help us provide better learning experiences for our pupils,” Ameller said.
For the school community, additional classrooms are expected to ease the need for learning spaces and provide students with a more comfortable environment for their daily lessons.
The ongoing construction reflects the provincial government’s continuing commitment to strengthening education infrastructure across South Cotabato expanding Governor Tamayo’s flagship program of providing accessible and free education in the province.
Once completed, the two-classroom building is expected to provide long-term benefits to learners and teachers at San Miguel Elementary School, serving as an important investment in the education and future of the children of Norala.
