NORALA, South Cotabato — Norala District Hospital attended to 7,000 admitted patients during the seven-month period of 2026, while its Emergency Room attended to 10,000 cases and its Outpatient Department recorded 7,000 consultations.
The hospital chief Dr. Mila G. Quinton said the figures reflect the facility’s continuing commitment to make essential healthcare services more accessible to the community.
“Our priority is to ensure that every patient receives timely and quality care, especially those who need medical services the most,” she said.
The hospital recorded thousands of patients and performed nearly 1,000 surgical procedures from January to July 2026, reflecting the continued demand for healthcare services in the area.
The district hospital in the upper valley of South Cotabato assisted around 300 normal deliveries during the same period.
The hospital is also conducting an ongoing free surgical and medical mission, providing patients with access to essential procedures and medical services.
In its nutrition services, the hospital achieved a 100-percent score in the assessment indicators for Severe Acute Malnutrition, highlighting its compliance with standards in managing patients with severe acute malnutrition.
Dr. Quinton said the hospital has also strengthened its mental health interventions through trained Psychological First Aiders, who provide initial psychosocial support to individuals experiencing emotional and psychological distress.
With these initiatives, NDH continues to expand access to essential healthcare while responding to the medical, nutritional, and mental health needs of the communities it serves.
