OPAG allots Php10.5 million for SSIPs

The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist has allotted a total of Php10.5 million this year for the construction of Small Scale Irrigation projects.
Out of the said fund, Php3.1 million will be used for the construction of Diversion Dam and Canal Structures at Sitio Salpao, Brgy. Polonuling at Tupi town; Php700,000 was also allotted for the supply and installation of the Solar Powered Irrigation system at Brgy. Duengas in Surallah, and Php6.5 million for the construction of the SSIP with fund Irrigation System at Brgy. Tinago in Norala.
Said project aims to increase crop production, lower the effects of the dry spell and increase the income of farmers.
