South Cotabato, Philippines | January 16, 2026 – The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG) of South Cotabato was recognized for its exemplary performance and dedication to public service after receiving a Plaque of Recognition under the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE).
The Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE), led by the Provincial Human Resource Management Office, recognizes government offices and employees for outstanding performance, dedication, and excellence in public service. Plaques of Recognition are awarded to offices with regional or national honors and those that have made significant contributions to their agencies’ overall success.
OPAG’s recognition followed its receipt of major regional distinctions, including being named Best Techno Gabay Program Implementer – Provincial Category by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) XII, and Best Program Partner by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XII.
Provincial Agriculturist Dr. Raul D. Teves shared words of encouragement to the office’s personnel, emphasizing the continued commitment to farmers and food security.
“As OPAG, we will continue to do our best and give everything we can for the welfare of our farmers and to ensure that we have food on our tables every day,” Dr. Teves said.
(“Kita sa OPAg, maningkamot lang kung ano pa pwede naton mahatag para sa kaayuhan sang aton farmers kag masiguro nga may ara kita pagkaon kada-adlaw.”)
These awards highlight OPAG’s outstanding contributions and sustained efforts in the effective implementation of the province’s agricultural programs, which have significantly benefited farmers, fisherfolk, and agricultural stakeholders across South Cotabato.
