OPAG South Cotabato recognized as Best Program Partner in the 2025 Regional Gawad Sulong Awards

South Cotabato, Philippines — The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG), headed by Provincial Agriculturist Raul D. Teves, DVM, was recognized as Best Program Partner during the 2025 Regional Gawad Sulong Awards held at the Greenleaf Hotel in General Santos City.

The Regional Gawad Sulong, organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), is an annual awards program that honors outstanding partners of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) for their contributions to anti-poverty initiatives and community empowerment through livelihood projects. Regional awardees qualify for national recognition.

According to Sarah Jane Pajarilla, Agricultural Technician I, “This recognition gives us greater motivation to further improve our services and enhance our programs to better serve farmers and fishers in the province.”

She added that the award strengthens OPAG’s commitment to delivering responsive, inclusive, and sustainable interventions.

The Best Program Partner Award is conferred on SLP partners that provide access to livelihood opportunities and essential resources, recognizing their significant role in helping program participants achieve their goals.

The recognition underscores OPAG’s continued dedication to fostering resilient and productive livelihood opportunities, reinforcing its role as a key partner in advancing sustainable development and community empowerment in South Cotabato.
