OPHRMO features four events celebrating Capitol Employees’ talents Civil Service Month

South Cotabato, Philippines | September 1, 2025 –The Office of the Provincial Human Resource Management Officer officially launched the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration this September, with a full lineup of activities designed to recognize the dedication, talent and creativity of government employees.

Freda Liza Gazo, the Provincial Human Resource Management Officer, said the celebration kicked off last August with the Intercluster Sports Competition, filling the courts and fields with energy and camaraderie through basketball and volleyball. On September 4, employees will rise early for a Fun Run/Walk at the South Cotabato Sports Complex, a symbolic stride toward health and unity.

“We have prepared various activities that intend to acknowledge individual and collective efforts and to make everyone feel valued, important, and recognized,” Gazo said.

She also highlighted that on September 30, the spotlight will turn to individuals and groups during the Araw ng Parangal—an emotional moment to honor loyalty awardees, high performers, and those who have quietly but consistently gone the extra mile in service.

Another major highlight, Gazo emphasized, is Employees’ Day on October 3 at the South Cotabato Gymnasium, which will feature competitions among cluster departments and recognition programs. She added that alongside the provincial events, the CSC regional office has also lined up activities such as a fun run, job fair, blood donation drive, and tree-growing—proof that public service is about building communities in every sense.

Furthermore, Gazo encouraged government employees to participate actively, emphasizing that the celebration is meant to recognize both individual and collective contributions to public service. We want every employee to feel proud of being part of the civil service family,” Gazo concluded.
