KORONADAL CITY- To strengthen the potential capacity of the first responder during disaster, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) promote preparedness and alertness and also to improve the sisterhood approach strategy in times of emergency response.
Rolly Doane C. Aquino, PDRRMO Operations and Warning Chief, said the approach uses the intersectoral response, recognizing the different management of the member of disaster risk reduction council.
“Nami ang aton assessment, siguro ara kita sa very good nga level. May ara lang gamay nga problema sa aton ambulansiya kay gamay lang aton responders nga equipped sa training.” Aquino said.
Sisterhood approach is a platform of combined and collaborative effort of the LGU’s and other line agencies that are equipped with disaster skills and information.
The mass casualty simulation was the culmination activity of the three-day search and rescue (SAR) proficiency training on mass casualty incident last week at Rizal Park.
The running time of the exercise ran almost an hour, earlier compared to the last year’s activity which lasted for two hours.
“This is a good indication that more lives will be saved if this will be applied on the actual disaster”, Aquino emphasized.
The Philippine National Red Cross, PDRRMO/CDRRMO/MDRRMO’s, students, private sectors and private hospital participated in the activity.
