PHP2.9M box culvert project in Tampakan to ease daily commute of residents

South Cotabato – The  Office of the Provincial Engineer recently conducted the final inspection on the PHP2.9M box culvert project in Sitio Lawit, Barangay Tablu, Tampakan, South Cotabato recently.

The box culvert project amounting to PHP2,995,873.04 aims to alleviate the difficulty in transporting goods of farmers in the barangay due to difficult terrain brought by continuous rain and flooding.

Engr. Phoebe Paguntalan said the project could  benefit the community  residents and farmers in the area

We proposed this project to the local community of Sitio Lawit to make it easier for the residents to traverse the area often affected during heavy rains and frequent floodings. This project will also help our farmers to transport their agricultural goods to the market” – Engr. Paguntalan said in an interview.

The Tablu Box Culvert with Slope Protection project is only one of the ongoing projects of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato aimed at the betterment of far flung sitios in the province.

The Office of the Provincial Engineer continues to uphold their commitment in delivering infrastructure projects on time to the beneficiary communities.
